Curriculum Resource Database - Launching Summer 2010 Today`s fast paced challenging economy has made the need to leverage resources and work together essential. To support that need, we have created a central database for storing and sharing curriculum. The database includes a range of topics including basic skills, computers and technology, communication, ESL, VESL and workplace essentials to name a few.
If you have curriculum you would like to share, please email curriculum@wplrc.org the name of the course and your contact information and we will get in touch to coordinate the distribution.
Train-the-Trainer Workshops One of the WpLRCs key objectives is to assist our partner colleges in developing and implementing new courses directly in line with the needs of business and industry. Join us or schedule your own train-the-trainer covering the latest topics and trends in business and begin offering courses immediately.
We can also assist you in creating and implementing your own train-the-trainer program for a course you have created. Email info@wplrc.org to learn more.
Contextualization of Basic Skills Many of today’s workers lack basic language, math and communication skills needed to be successful in the workplace. This is even true for many who have or are planning to complete career technical programs and pursue careers in industries such as construction, hospitality, retail and energy.
Let us assist you in supplementing your course with basic skills curriculum or schedule a faculty workshop that teaches your faculty how they can contextualize curriculum to incorporate the essential basic skills workers need to be successful. Email info@wplrc.org to learn more.
